About Sweet Collarette

Sweet Collarette began as a quiet counterbalance to a very busy corporate life. After long days spent in meetings, deadlines, and decision-making, I found myself craving something slower, gentler, and deeply grounding. The garden became that place — a peaceful refuge where time softens, worries loosen their grip, and nature sets the pace.

My heart belongs to dahlias, especially those grown from seed. There’s something endlessly magical about planting a tiny seed and having no idea what it will become. Each bloom is a true surprise — colours, shapes, and patterns that were never planned, yet somehow perfect. The moment a flower opens still catches me off guard with nature's beauty. It's proof that the universe knows more than we do, and that sometimes the best things that happen are truly surprises.

The Sweet Collarette flower patch is alive with quiet, determined joy. Bees and butterflies move through it all day, diligently working, completely at home. One of my favourite moments is in the evening, when I notice bees nestled deep inside a dahlia bloom, settling in for the night — safe, still, and peaceful. It’s a gentle reminder that this space isn’t just for beauty, but for belonging.

My home, and life, is shared with my beautiful family, one crazy Australian Shepherd, and two quirky and sweet cats.
